10-11 lbs on my H22

everyone said it's gunna blow up at 7-8 lbs lol. well i'm running 10-11 lbs on my stock internaled jdm h22a for about a month now. we actually had a cold front come through and it was about 30 degrees out last night and i was creeping to 13lbs so i richened up the wot fuel and it went like a raped ape. just thought i'd let everyone know that h22's are not as weak as everyone says. well at least mines not. also did a compression test when i got home last night. 190 - 190 - 200 - 190 ;D

setup: jdm h22a/dsm turbo setup (14b)/ v-afc hack / 450's / walbro 255 / fpr / lotsa tuning.

the only problem is the 11.1:1 compression w/ a 14b turbo. not really makin all that great power. about 243whp 237ft-lb at 10psi. if i only had a t3/t4 and a manifold that seals, hard ic piping, and less than 10 feet of ic piping i should make a ---- load more. but we'll see when i pull it out this spring. this is in my 93 4-door accord for those who don't know.

10-11 psi and your only putting down 240 hp? damn.. its usually reasonable to expect about 8 to 10 hp per pund of boost but yours is putting down like 5 to 6.. something is very wrong there

Just wait an see. They are the weakest ringlands in the world. I've done 2 of them and both eventually snapped. Since your getting boost happy and you only got the hack, the inevitable will come...

yah..a month isnt a very long time lol. just wait. your weak ass sleves, and your weaker ass ring lands will own you soon enough, especially @ 11psi and only the Hack.

should have kept the F22 for boost
go all motor, you will thank yourself later

I have lost almost all respect for you.

there's a guy i read about recentely that is running a 75shot (wet) on a stock internaled h22(closed deck also) along with 10lbs of boost. and he's been doing this all summer rofl. he made somewhere around 280-290whp on boost and hasn't dynoed it w/ nitrous. he's running full aem engine management. no knock, no detenation, and virtually perfect A/F numbers. he claims it's too slow for him so he's going to build the motor. but before he does, he's going to be ordering the 100 and 125 shot jets. then we shall see how far you can push a stock h22. just figure that out in your head. 280-290whp + 75 wet shot. that's gonna be upwards of 375-400whp on stock internals. and don't forget that is in a motor that has "the weakest ringlands in the world", and don't forget the "weak ass sleeves".

i'll try to find the link for you.

The H22 sleeves ARE NOT weak. They are one of the strongest sleeves Honda makes. The problem with the sleeves are that they are made of an FRM compound which has aluminum in it so you can't run forged aluminum pistons. So the only way to run good pistons is to resleeve the block.

the system is beyond ghetto that's why.

i gained 100ft-lb of torque lol. that's not bad at all. and it feels waaay faster.

considering i traded a DC Sport header and a nitrous kit to turbo my car. i'm happy ;D

with the numbers you have right now you should be able to pull a 12 in the quarter with slicks and the right suspension setup

Re:10-11 lbs on my H22

i'm trackin it on saturday actually. running 2 gallons of 110 octane(not mixed) and using a friends 13" slicks because i need new tires for mine.

as for suspension, well it was good. but my struts are shot, and i only have 3 out of the 4 stock accord motor mounts that i filled with urethane.

i will be lucky to hit high 13's considering i'm using stock prelude axles w/ a completely stock h22 tranny, clutch and all. it grinds through all the gears when i'm on it.

So just because your car is still holding together and you read about some guy that has pushed his H22 to 280-290 horsepower, H22's aren't weak like everyone says? I am think I am going to have to side with whitey on this one and say it's only a matter of time before your motor goes tits up, especially since your running the hack. I think I remember Josh Ross telling me H22's are poo for boosting and he has experiance with them as well. Anyways good luck and I hope you have one of those crazy strong motors.
