^^^
pretty confusing explanation. are you saying basicly cut the runners in half. and rebuild it.

No Im saying cut out all the gay looking ---- on the collector in red. Then go back to your little green pedals you've sliced and cut those off.
THEN do your tacks with it butt welded (don't try that slip fit monstor gap gayness). Cut out afew pieces to fill your big gaps and you're ****.

your alternative is to bridge gigantic gaps using a method prone to overheating and warping everything in the process of using it. adding like 5-15min of work tops to make it less messy. plus itll make alot of the gaps you have now somewhat smaller and easier to bridge.

hahah. you think....
i think it was the start that effed it all up. i started it backwards.

ok so i grinded all the lava rock down. and started trimming the ends of the collector so it will butt up.
this seems like it might be a little better.

i have the little blue flame nice and small. thats how i was always told to do it. its probably more of a flame to metal distance problem.
but i was also told you shouldnt try to oxy on SS. so when i do my dp (mild steel) we'll see if its any better.

i also ended up chopping the ends to butt up against each other and weld them that way. it seems to be fitting much nicer too.
