oh man. i tried to oxy weld the collector to the pipes. they are two differnet kinds of metal i think.
even though i ordered ss on both, the collector is super thin walled metal. the heat was just
blowing through the thin walled stuff and not flowing well at all. everything else
was welding nicely. i dont think its going to
work. back to the drawing board.

sure. ill will get one out soon.
i just went to IMS and got a great deal on some metal
they gave me this mild steel 1/2 inch plate for free that is big enough to make
a whole extra flange out of. plus i got about 3.5 extra feet of ss pipe
thats about 12g. so that should work better than what ive got on there.
and im working at a whole new angle on the collector.
ill post pics once im home.

oh yeah almost forgot...i only paid 12 bucks for that piece of ss

we'll see if it works. 16 gauge is super thin but im gonna support the collector.

na man don't use that. cut all that nasty out and weld patch pieces in.

honestly, what i would do is use a die grinder with a cutting disk <if you don't have a die grinder insert dremel with stacked, superglued fiberglass reinforced cutting disks here> to cut all that bullshit out. then cut your flanges flush with the good material of the runners instead of some bumfuck overlapping ----. then patch the gaps.

just be sure to do it a section at a time so it doesn't fall apart lmao
