Went with the Dragster. Hopefully my wife is nice enough to let me have it before Xmas but I doubt it. I still need a tank though. Maybe pops will hook me up with a card with some cash in it. Should I go with straight argon or a mix? I'm pumped though to have something nice to work with!!

Damn that place I bought it from was lightening fast!! Ordered it on saturday night and came Tuesday UPS!!! Holy ---- now thats service. He must of took Hotrex shipping 101 and failed horribly. lol. Shipping was free and was cheaper then the other place on ebay. Brand spanking new. Now I just need a tank and for christmas to come so I can use it cause the wife ain't budging on letting me use it.
Hmm I like when big boxes come for me

Hmmm what could be inside...

Sweet a big black box!! Now the best part!

God damn this ****** is tiny!

only thing I was wondering about it is the plug. It's not powered by 220 and it said 115 but this is the first time I've seen a plug like this. I'm probably just retarded or something...someone enlighten me on this

475 and shipping was free. I did some looking around and at first I thought I got took. Then realized that it was just the Stick package for around 370. :1Then when I checked out the TIG packages they were around 520ish. So I feel better now. So do I just need a adapter for the plug for fit in a normal outlet?

you could just cut the cable and put a normal plug on it. finding an adpater will be a pain in the ***.

Pretty sure that plug is just for a 20amp rated 110 receptacle. I wouldn't cut the cord as that would kill your warranty. For a few bucks you should be able to make a short jumper cable that will plug between your plug and a normal 110 plug. Make sure the curcuit has a large enough breaker and that nothing else important is running off of it.

Yeah, standard 110 20amp recepticle at homedepot will work fine. 12ga wire to the box. Done.

Open up your slits cause it's a TIG/Stick. I already have a MIG if you read the post you slanted eye ---- and got this to upgrade. Stick to wasting bandwidth in General Discussion. I told my maint. guy at work and he made me a adapter. Now just to start shopping around for a tank.

Never knew the started including gas regulators with stick machines.... Must be a new style.

The outlet is about $35. Hook it up to a 20amp or higher service.

Let me know how stable the arc is. Havent TIGed with single phase only 3phase.
