Re: Wings
I was think more like a sprint car wing. Something big to put a little pressure down at 90 mph in a four wheel drift at 8,000 rpm. It would be one more thing that I can tune on. Changing conditions and fuel load require something more then what I have. Watch a sprint car vs a midget, look at the lap times, you will then see a reason for this topic. It's not a pipe dream, and I will figure out a way by January 6th, first points race.

Re: Wings
I would think model airplane websites would have more info on functional wings that you could scale up. I dont think this website appreciates real racing. Power level has nothing to do with cornering grip and it sounds like you are definitely going fast enough to need downforce expecially on ice.

Re: Wings
This was my third race two years ago, before turbo This slide was at about 65 mph. Please note that this was before it's newest paint job. The car was painted like a pumkin at midnight on halloween, before the Dirty-jack rally-x. The stupid car finshed 2nd overall with about 30 cars there. 2nd day I had the car.
These are the tires we run
2nd gear slow turns can be fun too

New paint, turbo, and some say there is no traction on ice, please note back inside tire.
This picture was taken from the back of the pacecar. That big ugly truck was Jesse James ice cream truck. It was a fun weekend with the heli flying over head. Look at some of the cars my little 1.5 can hang with (can't wait until the 1.8 goes in). I should have started 2nd but they just pushed me back behide the icecream truck. It doesn't matter I pasted both the truck and Subru going into turn 1 (old kart racing trick).
I just don't see any wings and I think it maybe a advantage. I can't go down to a local checker-napa-walmart-advanced auto parts and get some thing that works. I found some sprint car wing builders about two hours away. But they are big money, and I don't have cubic dollars, but cubic tools.
