what to use to port my hf mani?
so i have a dremel and i'm trying to port match the hf mani to my zc head and the dremel bit i have is not working worth a crap
i've been thinking of getting a die grinder for this, but i was wondering if anything for my dremel will work for this.
i'm sure this topic has been beat to death but i can't find anything searching this site or others.
i also will be using this for the wastegate port on my 14b.
thanks in advance s

Re: what to use to port my hf mani?
some bit that's made for alum, but i didn't have time to go out tonight for a different bit.
after about 5 mins i could tell i wasn't getting anywhere so i stopped. i'm gonna go out tomorrow and buy the right kind of bit.
or should i just buy something like this ching chong HF kit
well walmart is open 24 hours maybe i'll run over there and see what they have.

I use carbide cutters but it takes practice with tooling that removes material fast. Just use what you get in the little dremel kit will it be the best job no but its an hf manifold it hardly is a log manifold

Re: what to use to port my hf mani?
forget a dremel, drill, or anything of the sorts.
The simple fact is regardless of what bit you chuck in any of them, they do not have the power to swing a bit that will eat away any descent material + thickness in any reasonable amount of time.
buy a compressor and a die grinder.

i have some harbor freight die grinders and i have some mac and matco ones. there is a quality difference, but the HF ones work great for the money. if you arent using them to make money then dont bother with the name brands
