what diameter of rods you use on your exhaust/manifold tig weldeds?

 

Depends on the weld size. I normally use 3/32. I was using 1/8 because I got 10lbs free from a guy. Every now and then Ill use 1/16, but for me that's not too often. Most people are probably going to use 1/16, or newb out and get some wire.
My opinion is that youll waste untold amounts of argon taking all day to weld something with wire, and while the majority of people wont see your mistakes the smaller the filler. The mistakes are still there, they're just smaller.

 

little lose in those sizes..what would be diameter in inchs? .250" or so?... (i use mm normally or cm )

 

1/16, 3/32, 1/8 are in inches....

nope, i can make it, just need some helps with sizes in inch, i have to convert them to mm, if i tried to sayd something to yu in metric sizes or another that are used in Europe , you will be lose..

i was looking in ebay for them..only found sizes as .080" .375" and so...

i think found right diamenter though

 

1/8" = .125

1/16" = .0625

3/32 = .09375

1/32 itself is .03125

do the math

 

use a calculator and divide the number on the top by the number on the bottom. thats your decimal in inches. it's not conversions, but simple math.

for example, if i take my calculator and push the "1" button, then the "/" button then the "16" button, and finally the "ENTER" button i get ".0625"
