Eh, and gloves do too ------- help LoL!
When you get a good angle & have to flick your angle grinder shield around so you don't give yourself & others a hot fiberglass/metal shower. Guess what? It's real easy to catch the corner of your hand on that disk & having a bigass leather welding glove will save your ***.
We all done ---- like that, but as little time as it takes to put on some gloves, saftey glasses (WITH SIDE SHIELDS), and ear muffs / plugs. Always do it.
Atleast you got everything but the gloves.

Man, why be so hard on me?
I saved those kids! They were working 60 hours a week in an exhaust shop in lower L.A. I was driving though and lost my catalytic converter (rusted through) and had to stop in to "Tony's Hot Exhaust" to get it fixed. I was in the waiting room and wander out back.. There were this brother and sister back there, just working away. They were doing knock off WRX/STI headers to be sold on EBAY.
I offered to buy them out of their indentured servitude, but Tony wanted to get his money out of those two sweet white kids.
So.....
I stole them. Backed right up, opened up the van doors, and presto chango, I had two kids!
Who can bend, fab, and weld with the best of them. Fact is, their lungs are already shot from Tony's shop. They seldom use the welding equipment anymore, the much prefer the outdoors and freedom.
Damn I love em.
