Default Welding helmet upgrade.

I just upgraded from the Pro hobby hood to the Elite Joker. It has 4 sensors where the old one had 2. The head gear is much better than the old one plus this has a grind feature, not that I would use it. I have been using it all day. Its very comfortable and my respirator fits great underneath it.

I was looking at them the other day, I got my big window elite last year and it has worked flawlessly. But I wish I had the new version. I have been flashed more than a few times with mine as it does not have an auto on feature. So I have to push a stupid little button everytime I put it on. Or I can play Russian roulette with the shut off timer. (which I have lost more than a few times, ussually when I just spent 5 minutes getting a piece right where I want it with one hand so I can tack it...man that pisses me off).

Yeah Randy. My old one had the button. I was used to it so I always turned it on if it sat for a bit. I found myself going to turn this on all day today. It was habit. This just has a reset button where the power button was on the old one.

That is a sweet *** helmet though.

I used that thing for a night what a pile. Went and got the 60 buck auto dark one from the freight. Very nice item. What was the price tag?

Same here. Auto dimming definatly owns, but I forgot about that little button on my helmet a couple of times and got flashed. Such a bitch.
