Trouble with welding is that the heat usually fucks the oil pump seal then there is no way to change it. I bought a 1/2" reverse twist drillbit for drilling the bolts out. You put the drill on reverse and it cuts 'cause the drillbit is made backwards. usually from the heat and vibration of drilling it will eventually catch and the broken off nub will come out. I've done this for a couple of customers. The bolt is quite hard so it's important to get a good quality drillbit. No made in china crap or you'll be sharpening it all day long. Ok to weld for a winter beater and it does work. I've done this on a few beaters to drive them to the scrapyard.

as much as i'd like to see it last, i dont see your motor living to long. if you can feel the vibration, its REAL bad. good luck though
