I really want to start welding aluminum but, it's so thin I don't know if I can do it properly or not. I have a Mig welding machine which works pretty good with welding thinner metals. I bought my machine used from someone and it came with all of the stuff I needed, I just don't know where I'm going to buy them for at a reasonable price when they are done. Anyone know a place to buy anything that has to do with welding in general for reasonable prices.

tig welder is around $2000.00 mig is alot cheaper but the results are so so.tig IS the way to go with aluminum, end of story.there are people who will tell you mig is fine and all you need.mig is ---- compared to tig.depends on what you want to spend .any tig machine that will weld aluminum is costly.you can get a spool gun and run it off of most migs but like i said the quality is not there in the weld.
