Most of the guys on here with the lower end Millers won't be able to handle a head.

Why don't you try pestering Weir? He seems like a nice enough guy.

so do you just weld small metal inserts in certain spots or what?

chris, i'll do it for $70, but you'll have to pay shipping back and forth. you will also need to resurface the head just to clean it up and probably do some hand work in the cc's to make them pretty- i'll make sure there is lots of meat to play with.

oh yeah, jd, that head i did for the bmw was with my miller 180sd. i thought that was a low end tig... ;)

Heh.

I watched a buddy get a lecture/reaming about using his 180SD to weld up the 89-90 Volvo GXE head for his Ford 2.3 DOHC conversion. There was a little bit more going on than with that BMW head, there's a pretty massive block on the back of it that needed going over a couple of times to get right.
