use a spring instead of a bolt

 

I thought about that before I made it. I was originally going to use aluminum, but figured the ****** would melt under heavy load so I used steel instead. It holds the wastegate completely closed as it sits. It should expand at close to the same rate as the rest of the housing so it might open a couple thou max, not anything to really worry about.

 

idk even small leaks seem to make a big difference on boosted cars, even small cracks around wastegate holes are bad
