Default traction bars

since this is fab forum...

i'm interested in building my own traction bars for my DA.. i looked at the ones Full-Race makes.. pretty nice. but WAY out of my budget.. i'm trying to figure out what size tie rod ends i should use.. i was looking at some 7/16" threaded rod ends.. or is that too small?
something like this:

Way too small for a DA. I would at least get the 5/8 with the 1/2 hole at minimum.

Ya, 7/16 is too small. Keep in mind factory is 12mm which is only a hair less then 1/2"

My traction bars use High Strength 1/2 Heim Joints.

hmm.. yeah i can get them in 1/2"

the main reason i'm doing this is i want to use a civic half wide radiator and i refuse to cut into the stock front cross member on my DA. so the only other alternative is a custom radiator which costs $400+ or a custom built traction bars that i can put just right to allow use of the civic half wide radiator without it sticking up too high.

If you have the ability to make traction bars, just make a new crossmember out of steel pipe.

I have a 3" downpipe and a half core radiator with a stock CRX crossmember. Took 2 minutes to weld 2 small tabs on the crossmember for the radiator.

I really need to find a test dummy for DA Traction bars. These seem to be a hot want item lately
