Make sure the gas is actually coming out of the end of the torch, you might have a leak at the handle, or even a small hole in the hose somewhere.
Like mention above crank the gas up and see if it improves, get a bigger cup or better yet a gas lens.

Its sch 10.

Tungsten doesn't have or look like it has rust on it. I have tried doing root passes but I get the same affect on the top of the weld. The filler is all brand new so I doubt thats an issue. I will pick up a gas lense and go from there I guess.

I can definately feel gas coming out the end of the cup.

Looks like you might be using the wrong gas.

I know you said you have 100% argon, but that might not be the case.

Hmm, well the most popular welding shop in my area is who I got the bottle from(contract), the bottle is labled argon and everything... Gaaaah this is annoying.

your tungsten is out way to far for a standard setup. it should stick out up to 1/8" out of the cup; try that.

Maybe you are moving way to slow and overheating the metal a bit.

alrighty, moved my tungsten in to about 1/4" stickout and this is the result. I'm thinking the gas lense will only help more I'm quite happy now haha.

I don't claim to be a welding expert by any means, but it looks like you are still putting too much heat into the metal.

Looks much better though.

I thought that I recalled using only 1/8 stick out for a standard cup when I was in school, but that was about 7 years ago, and I was never that great at welding.
