thermal arc 85amp tig...
i got the hf 85 amp mig welding pretty well. I think im ready to start learning how to tig. egay has the thermal arc 85 amp (plugs in to 110v, i dont have 220v easily accessable at my house) would this be enough to do anything with? I'd like to at least attempt to make a manifold with it and the spare flange and pipe i have laying around. If its weaksauce, im just gonna go to harbor freight and buy their tig- its on sale for $199
which brings me to my next question- Can i run a 220V extension cord from my dryer to my portch? I dont see why i wouldnt i guess but where can i get one?

i brought my syncrowave 200 like 65 days ago and havent used it yet! i still need to power it up. its in my basment prob about 20 feet from the only 220v outlet for my dryer. i already brought the plug head from home depot that matches the dryer plug, what type of wire can i use to make the extention cord
