The welding class has a prereq: Being able to construct a proper ------- sentence "Is there any classes"??? Nice.
Im sure one of your CC's has a welding technology class available... That or check ROP type availability

Yes, what a newb question to ask lol

check out your local 2 year CC's, and see if there are any schools run by the big welding names in your area. that's the best way to see if u can get into a good shop.

go to the american welding society website and look for the list of schools they support. if you are gonna take a welding class you might as well get a real certification rather than a peice of paper from a CC.

in NoVA (northern va CC) its 1day per week for 16wks, $1200 for in state students. i wouldnt expect the cost to much different elsewhere
