Smiley Unit

Re: Smiley Unit
I have used mine A LOT since I bought it. The only issues I have had are:
Don't use the crappy hose it comes with to hook up the regulator, just use some decent black fuel line. Always turn your bottle off at night anyway.
When you remove the TIG hose to convert to Plasma hold both fittings with a wrench, mine have loosened up over time.
Hold the actual socket the the 2 wire power connector screws onto from the TIG torch when switching to Plasma, that also has loosened up.
I have to open it up and retighten those connections but other than that it still works brand new.

I used Oxy/Ace torch quick connect for converting between plasma and TIG. Works Great. I agree about the hose, get your own stuff!
My plasma has been acting up, but I melted the lead by accident (my screw up) and I think we I put the torch end back together I didn't tighten down the fittings right,.
