Cool to see a nice tubular style manifold for an s2k. I dont know if im feeling the gold though, what material did you make that out? I like the gold color the polished manifolds turn after being run on the car, but thats just personal preference. Manifold looks good though.

after seeing that post maybe I should put up pics of my new tube welds
I dont do much pipe welding any more so the skill is dwendling there but my tube welds are very simular to those oribal welds

Oh btw alot of that work was done on a rotary table which explains the very nice consistent beads on 4" tubes that go in quarters or full welds....

On page 2 of my pics, the only welds done in a turntable were the ones on the vacuum ----...the electroplated stuff.

ALL the automotive stuff was done by hand in my garage.

BTW...nice work, James... post up some closeups.
And what's with the gold? Is it a gold plating, or what? Is there a purpose for it other than looks?

I was referring to the big pipe to flange welds on page 1 where it is odvious that you had zero stops or starts for 6-10" of weld....

Clarify or break that process down, just wondering if you hand polished it or used a wheel or what? I can tell how smooth the manifold is so it was definately polished.
