I ------- hate building manifolds, and while I do them from time to time I've been too busy doing standalone installs at $1000 a pop to worry about log manifolds at $250 each. I'll take an two hours of soldering and three hours of wiring to make $700 profit over three hours of burning myself and inhaling grinding wheel dust for $150 any day. So I sell cast manifolds because the the labor involves a phone call and I can get on to more profitable stuff.

I wouldn't exactly call it competition. I don't come on here bad mouthing for no reason. Two friends of mine have seriously suffered Boost Factories poor quality control that comes along with Chuck's "high" production rates. My friends got manifolds from Chuck because I was too busy to help.

Remember this one you sent up to Fire&Fuel in Canada? Quality work there.

How about this one that Ian in PA waited a while for? Wastegate doesn't fit because the block is there... but that doesn't matter because the center exhaust stud wont allow the manifold to even fit on the head properly since the wastegate tube is there..

damn... I was thinking about buying my own tig just for fun and maybe starting to make manifolds, but not after reading this thread. btw, if that is truly your work, boost factory, you should seriously be ashamed... I used to sell a ton of homemade ----(LED angle eyes, "jdm city lights:, etc.) on ebay in between class and sleeping, so i can somewhat relate to turning out a quality product.I am not trying to compare making ricer parts to making manifolds cuz i know its 2 completely different things, but I cant ever believe anyone would turn out a product like that, and then turn around and actually ship it!
