US and Canadian Dollar is pretty close.

But you know what it takes for a ton? We roll in with 18ft flat bed stocked high and walk out 180.00 richer, that load had a camp trailer, some ford rustang rear end on it and a bunch of other crap!!!

so, 2.20 pound is 12,59 USD and that makes 5.72$ per pound :1

bare copper in MN is like $2+ and if it still has the coating/insulation then you get like .50 less, but still worth it when you know electricians.

i took some copper to a scrap yard about 2 months ago and i got 1.50 a pound here in chicago.. someone told me it went over $2 a pound but its going back down again..

commercial hvac= lots of scrap copper!

we uaually cut out the condenser coils on larger (10+ ton) roof top havc units and turn them in for cash when we do change outs..only takes 5-10 min with a saw to cut out a coil, we get $40-100+ for some coils.
