Re: notched my block today
anyone have pics of what they took out of the girdle
|
Re: notched my block today
I didnt have to take any out of my girdle. You need atleast .050 clearance between your rods and the block.

Re: notched my block today
man this sounds like some ---- i would do. just can't wait huh? it's a bummer being that anxious. oh well, you'll figure out if you notched it far enough when you get the rods
|
Re: notched my block today
u diff. didnt go far enough but i say wait till u get the rods ull see then
|
Re: notched my block today
ordering the rods tomorrow
|
Re: notched my block today
def. not far enough. I just threw some tuner toy rods in my d-series and I notched them deeper than that.
|
Re: notched my block today
wait and check the block when you get your rods (put them on the crank and spin them and check your clearence). when i did my build (i had eagle rods, zc block) i called eagle to ask how much do i need to knotch, believe it or not they said no 2 blocks are the same.(and then they told me to do the test fit)

Re: notched my block today
1/2" up and to the side. make sure u clean it well. ;D
|
Re: notched my block today
endyne says 1/4" up the sleeve, 1/4-1/2" side to side, and 1/4" deep
now when you guys say take ---- off the girdle..was that because the rods were hitting, or because there wasn't enough clearance, so you did it to be safe? |
Re: notched my block today
