Just wondering. Can you do an obd conversion harness and tune an s2k on crome and the like?
Good luck on the kit sales

Why? Because he realized that there are people out there that will pay for it? If you could start chiping ECUs for Euro cars and charge tripple$$$ what you charge now you wouldnt do it?

Re: new manifold in the works

you think that is bad check this,
full race turbo kit $5300
http://www.full-race.com/catalog/pro...roducts_id=487

exact same price
doesnt include fancy ball bearing turbo
and is 2.5" charge pipe the whole thing
mind has gt30r or gt35r turbo your choice, and 2.5" hot side 2.75" cold side charge pipes

I have the best bang for the buck setup for the s2k
hell my 3" downpipe even bolts onto the factory exhaust everything is bolt on

codies kit didnt burn down, the tards that installed it had an electrical problem....
there is no way a cracked manifold (if it was cracked even) could start a fire like that, hell people drive around every day on old ass busted cars with cracked manifolds for years and they dotn just burn down out of nowhere....

Re: new manifold in the works

That is a pretty nice looking setup and really i dont think the price is unreasonable. Is there a plug and play AEM for the S2000?

sgoertz 12-07-2006 07:53 PM

Re: new manifold in the works

yes there is a aem ems, I will offer a electorics kit also (includes aem ems, injectors, pump) for $2000 also

Trying to keep it as simple as can be for people
just trying to get yall's idea on the whole thing

I guess my sarcasm wasn't that noticeable. Its was obviously the retards that installed it. He could still be named in a law suit.

Re: new manifold in the works

If someone can afford an S2K, they're more likely to be able to afford that kit.

Sure this isn't really HMT material, but this is definitely a fab post and regardless of if it's on a '79 Civic or an NSX it's always nice to see fab-work, whether it's my birdshit downpipe or stuff like this.

P.S. you care about dirt getting into the turbo, but not the engine? lol O0

sgoertz 12-07-2006 10:22 PM

Re: new manifold in the works

the turbo isnt mine the engine is mine, I will fully clean the engine before it is started (blast the thing with the air hose for a few good hours lol)

I am not trying to get anyone on here to buy this I just though people might be interested to know where a fellow homemadeturbo guy is at in the world now, Yes that is right for you new comers I started here like yall are and my mig welding was some of the fugliest you will ever see, hell my first setup consisted of migged crush bent downpipe, hf mani with adapter plate, pvc charge pipes no intercooler and a b&m fuel pressure regulator for my management lol

How much for just the manifold? Also will it be able to retain A/C? Very interested but it would have to be after the holidays.

some people don't seem to understand that progression and continuous imporvement is a good thing. james is sharing all this stuff with us because he hasn't forgotten where he got started. props james. you've come a long way.

my earlier comment wasn't critizing the work... hell if i had the money and was put in the position to buy it would be a pleasure to buy from the bmc guys. Good stuff... nice to see hmt people growing up and elevating their skill. I still give more props to people who somehow get ---- turboed with no skill and ---- for materials. ;)

no ---- right. I'm sure he knew damn well when he was posting pics that no one on hmt will be purchasing one. s2ki ftw!! :P

Re: new manifold in the works

Yeah, $5300 isn't really that bad. Especially when you consider what a lot of kits cost for civics using cast manifolds, non-bb turbos and supply an fmu and a missing link like those are somehow supposed to constitute as engine management. :1

But shop around for S2k kits and you'll find they all sell for similar prices and they don't seem to have any trouble selling. :8

Looks nice James. Keep up the good work! :6

Re: new manifold in the works

I don't remember James being HMT, I remember 579 posts of him and his dad trying to sell stuff. The work is nice, but when's the last time you made a post outside of the fab forum pumping your latest work, HMT "brotha". :-\

So this kit will run over $7,000 with fuel management? :X I'd have to slap the slightly homosexual S2000 driver that spends ~$25k on an S2000, then another $7000+ for a turbo kit. That puts him at ~$32,000 with no other mods and he's still running low 13's with a very good chance of blowing a very expensive motor. :1

I dunno; I was cleaning my room and found an old Super Street that had one on the cover.

$10K motor :3

The motors are 1500$ on ebay
for that cost for the fuel management kit is very cheap (aem ems is usually 1600 the injectors are $350, and pump is $150)
they are saving 100$ and will be given a fancy instruction sheet and all for it hell I even have to make up special fuel rail spacers so the injectors will work

Ohh yah 7k is still cheap look at the lovefab setups for $10000 nearly

Re: new manifold in the works

I think with this kit and the AEM managment the stock motor is capable of some pretty big numbers.

sgoertz 12-09-2006 03:41 PM

Re: new manifold in the works

Well we put out 620whp on my stock motor, if they get the gt35r and my electorics kit with 1000cc injector minimum then they can make the same power with ease

Re: new manifold in the works

We only got in one halfway decent run and it wasnt full 1/4 mile lol
it had a 2.0 60 foot (245 drag radials cant hold big power lol) did the 1/8th mile in 7.02 @ 120 mph killed it at the 1/8 and coasted the 1/4 @ 11.8 @ 110 mph

On this run I was running a mustang, he pulled a 1.32 60 foot he had me by like 6 cars at the launch but by the top of 4th (1/8th mile) I was neck and neck with him, I killed it at the 1/8th because my soft top popped up on drivers side and I didnt want it ripping off and flying away lol he ended up running a 10.6 so gives a good idea as to where the car would have been

This was with the old tune on the air water at 590whp we came to find out after that run that the water pump got clogged and we basically made that run with no intercoooler at all (charge temps got up around 400 degrees :() amazingly that engine is still kicking after that, shows how good the s2k motor really is

Having those titanium rods don't hurt at all. ;)

The K20's should've came with rods like that.

sgoertz 12-10-2006 12:07 PM

Re: new manifold in the works

actually they are just normal forged chromoly rods :( not as cool as the nsx with titanium rods
