Default New Exhaust for the T100

Yeah so this past week at school I realized that the exhaust on my truck was getting worse, and after I went out one night and was doing some WOT runs, the back of the muffler just blew out. The exhaust was basically hanging by a thread since it was so rusted.

So about $70 7 hours later I have this:

From the flange back here's what I used:

original exhaust flange + front hanger
2 1/4" mid pipe light bend from an E-bay civic exhaust
2 1/4"-2 1/2" adapter
Thrush turbo muffler
2 45" bends
part of a piece of 36" pipe
one more 45 for the exit
the smaller piece of the 36" piece I cut

Oh yeah and I used my trademark 3/8" nails for some tough hangers.

All in all it sounds great on my truck and was super cheap and easy to build.

well it probably didn't take that long. I had to make a run to the parts store, go inside the house for some tools and ----. Then after welding everything I cleaned it up and painted it, and put it on the truck the next day.

I basically sounds stock-ish with a deeper tone to it.

ya rly.

I've seen the same engine (5vzfe) turboed in a MR-2. I think that it was on here.

I can't see the 4cyl having been a big seller.

Yeah ever since I saw the 5vz MR2 the gears got turning in my head.....

Turbo T100?
A CT-26 would give great low-end torque and power since the stock cams are for low-end power (that's what was on the 5vz MR2)
A Holset might have some undesirable lag

I guess I'd have to use megasquirt for management, and that's a little outside my skill level right now. Maybe down the road.
