Default my new strut bar(added rear lower tie bar)

i have been thinking about this for a while lately and finally had the time this weekend to make it. total cost of materials was $37
i made the tie bar today. it will probobly get mounts added later for a sway bar, i just dont have a sway bar right now

How'd you make the strut flange? Thats whats slowing me down from making my own bars, no plasma/tourch

three pieces of 1" angle. i drilled a whole for the studs from the shocks at one end of 2 of the pieces and the cut 45 degree ends on the other side and on both sides of the last piece and then welded them together. i did it all with a band saw. you could do it with a hack saw but it would be a lot of cutting

thats a good question. i will weigh it and see. it isnt much more than an ebay strut brace though. i was surprized how light it was when it was done
::EDIT::i weighed it and found that it is 8lbs. i was expecting more so i am pretty happy with it
