Hey, my name is Michał(Michael) and I'm from Poland.I have problem and i think you can help me
So i have turbo which don't have wastegate and I must have external wastegate.I have small budget and in my country wastegate's are expensive Yesterday i saw that EGR Valve is very similar to body external wastegate.
This is picture of EGR Valve http://shbox.com/1/EGR_valve.jpg
So what do you think? It is possible to modifity this valve to do from this simple wastegate

EGR was not designed to hold pressure(none the less) or function in that sort of heat (1400+ degreesF) But I think the problem you will run into would be boost creep, since I doubt you will find an EGR valve that flows enough to function your cause.

Audi 5000 gates are a good shot, you can find "decent" gates on ebay used sometimes for a good price.

I have a friend named Michal from poland...He's a Toyota tech...

Yeah it looks like its waaaay to small, I wouldnt even waste the time trying to fit it to a mainifold. What turbo do you have? and why are they so expensive there compared to the united states or any other country for that matter? is there some reason you cant get them shipped to you?
