Default My custom ECU/MSD mount...

Made a custom ECU and MSD mounting box... when I pulled the stock OBD0 ECU out all the bolts ripped out with it and the OBD1 ECU wont bolt up to it anyways I don't think so I made this box for the MSD and ECU. I plan on putting it where the factory ECU would go. I originally wasnt going to make a cover but thought it would be a good idea since people will have their feet on it.

It's all out of aluminum. I work at a steel manufacturing plant so I can make pretty much whatever I want. Took about 2hrs. I've got a couple MSD and Skunk2 decals I might put on it just to pretty it up, but havent decided yet.

Meh it doesnt weigh much at all... its .050 aluminum. Couple pounds at most, minus the ECU and MSD obviously, but those would be in the car reguardless. If it wasnt for the fact hat everything is already mounted I would weigh it...

Actually your concern about adding 5-10lbs to your car is very hondatechish. The box looks great i started making something similar for my last CRX as I wanted it off the floor and organized.

Good job. Will probably bend down with feet on it.
My ecu lays open on the floor since I always take it out.
My msd stuff is zip tied in the engine bay
Let see it mounted in car!
Again, very nice.

Only thing I would worry about is the head that you are trapping around the ignition box. If you don't have carpet though you should be okay. looks nice though.

i think someones pitchin a bitch because they didnt think of it first! 2 pounds doesnt start mattering untill youre running pro ets. its like your 14 second street car would benifit...

anyway, looks pretty hot ----, i was thinking of making something to that effect to hide most of the wiring in my floorboard

Seems like it might be a little on the big side to go where the stock ecu goes. But on the other hand it looks nice enough to leave it out in the open as well.

is it easy to take out the ecu/chip?

I mess with my ecu all the time, mostly changing tunes because of the gay weather.

looks good tho
