Default My air compressor is too small, anyone tried hooking it up to a bigger tank?

I was just thinking my air compressor has a two gallon tank which is a very small. If I hooked it up to a 10 gallon tank, would i have any problems? This compressor looks like the same compressor thats on the 5 gallon tank and the 1 gallon tank setups. Has anyone done this before? Feedback please.

Nick

I would assume that if you took a compressor designed to run the duty of a 2 gallon tank, and put it on a 10 gallon tank, that it wouldnt take it too long to die.

the air compressor manual says that moisture will build up if the compressor runs for an extended time, but it doesnt give the duty specs. Maybe google will..

its a c&h 100psi 2 gallon compressor

use a bigger tank its fine just make sure u have a bleader on the bottem to release the moisture and if your not using it keep it drained, start it a while before ur going to use it

Unless you have access to the 10 gal tank I'd just buy a new one or hit up the pawn shops. I've noticed my colman 15 gal compressor is the exact same as he 27 gal model (other than the tank) so It would prolly work though.
