i'm really not sure if this has been posted before, but i thought some of you might want to check this out:

My machinist was at a trade show in Florida and ran in to a company called: icengineworks. They have created a new product for mocking up manifolds...... it looks pretty sweet, but kind of pricey. for those of you who build manifolds all the time, this might be somethig worthwhile to check out.

That's pretty clever, but $1000 for a basic set is ------- REDICULOUS.


Somebody hit up the Lego company. I bet they could knock those out for $99.

 

Thats definately kind of cool, but we make manifolds and it wouldnt be very useful at all. They are mainly targeting companies who will send exactly that mock up to China to be mass produced.

 

i think it would be worht it if you do a ton of custom manifolds and no so much mass produced type stuff

 

I can do the same with ABS or PVC piping and it will only cost $20

 

It would be next to worthless to me when making a custom part, best thing you can have is practice.
If you could make something up with that then digitize it with a coordinate measure dohicky and then send it off to china to be bent up and soldered togetther it would be great.
