this wont be a standard cell...making one for up front where the battery goes on a 97...i would assume the stock ones are made of steel but i dont know if there is some sort of coating

Plastic FTW. Every damn factory vehicle should have one. Plastic tanks with stainless fittings and fuel pump brackets. Steel tanks suck so much ***** especially in the northeast where everything gets the ---- salted out of it.

making HDPE isn't to bad, did it in chem lab about 2 weeks ago. Maybe you could make something out of foam and send it off to a company who would turn it into a plastic tank?
