Larger Exhuast

What's needed to put on a larger exhuast? right now I'm at 1 7/8 inch or something like that(small), I'm thinking about maybe a 2 or 2.5 inch piping. I have acess to a mandel and plenty of tailpipe. SO hit me up with what I'm suppose to do to upgrade my pipes

Uh...for a bigger exhaust, you need bigger pipes.

What's the huge mystery?

Re: Larger Exhuast

The most important part in a turbocharged system is the downpipe, because that reduces backpressure immediately behind the turbo and helps it spool quicker.

Depending on the size of the turbo you're using, and the HP you're expecting, 2.5 inches from downpipe to cat is fine, then 2 inches back.

So are you telling me that all's I have to do is un bolt the stock pipes, bend the new pipes do a little welding, a little streaching of the in/outlet of the cat, and it's a plug and play deal????

I have no idea whether you're driving a Civic or an M1A2 Abrams tank....

I was giving you a general idea of what you need to do. All cars are different. The point if you're going to increase the diameter of the piping, the part right after the turbo is the most important.....

I never said I'm going turbo YET but yes it's in my thoughts I'm thinking of a supercharger style turob setup like what the guys are talking about on my other topic on here
