Larger Exhuast
What's needed to put on a larger exhuast? right now I'm at 1 7/8 inch or something like that(small), I'm thinking about maybe a 2 or 2.5 inch piping. I have acess to a mandel and plenty of tailpipe. SO hit me up with what I'm suppose to do to upgrade my pipes

What else would it be?

Re: Larger Exhuast
The most important part in a turbocharged system is the downpipe, because that reduces backpressure immediately behind the turbo and helps it spool quicker.
Depending on the size of the turbo you're using, and the HP you're expecting, 2.5 inches from downpipe to cat is fine, then 2 inches back. |
Re: Larger Exhuast
So are you telling me that all's I have to do is un bolt the stock pipes, bend the new pipes do a little welding, a little streaching of the in/outlet of the cat, and it's a plug and play deal????

I was giving you a general idea of what you need to do. All cars are different. The point if you're going to increase the diameter of the piping, the part right after the turbo is the most important..... |

LOL! I've read two of your questions and honestly, you should just give up now. You say you have acess to a mandrel bender and are able to weld, yet you have to ask a question like this. I dont think so.

It's like taking a turd and putting a jet engine on it. All you have is a really fast turd. Sell the car for $500 and get a 91 Saab 9000. A few cheap hacks and it's at 220 HP.... and the only thing with "mad Vtak" in my driveway is my Odyssey minivan..... |
