Jdm turbo

1997 Honda civic d16 sohc non-v-tech... Jdm turbo exhaust and oil lines. I have two oil feed lines and I need one for the outlet do I drill out the hole? I also need to know if I need an adapter plate for the feed line? What all do you actually need to run a turbo? Here's a list of what I got.

Jdm turbo
Down pipe
Oil feed an return
Intercooler n pipng
Blow off
Short shift

Toysrme 03-29-2009 01:28 PM

what the flying ----?

go google some god damned guides or read the ------- stickies plastared all over their respective god damned forums

weaksaucedc2 03-29-2009 01:47 PM

^^Haha damn anger!

He's right though you are far from ready to boost your car if you think a short shifter is entailed in the things you need for boost

And jdm turbo and jdm oil lines haha :P You should research for a good six months before messing with your car in any way

Turbo News 03-29-2009 03:59 PM

^ agreed... you need a lot more then that... go read some of the projects...

toyollAZ86 03-29-2009 06:24 PM

first you need to run 12v to the turbo and ground it off the actuator.

i_heart_my_ef 03-30-2009 01:46 AM

this thread is winner hahahaha,

Turbo10 04-07-2009 05:16 AM

I think mine had a zerk fitting, and you had to pump grease in it once a week or every 288 miles.

shoyass 04-07-2009 09:30 AM

Should he pour oil in the turbo before he hooks up the lines?

toyollAZ86 04-07-2009 10:00 AM

well what you wanna do is make sure you pour oil ON the fins themselves first.
kinda like prime the pump.

Turbo10 04-07-2009 01:58 PM

Yea, I saw a trick at www.chinaparts.com that said dipping a Q'tip in white lythium grease and smearing it on the compressor inlet enables you to not run a filter. That way you can install a larger turbo on a vehicle without a lot of room. As for pouring the grease in, I heat mine in a Wok until it's thin enough to fry rice, then I dip my chopsticks in and let it run down into the hole. This method has allowed me to get a constant 10,000 miles out of the JDM turbos.

repherence1 04-09-2009 08:56 AM

or u can use some used peanut oil from the wok at the chinese restaurant near your house

Ha, ya white lythium grease is really gonna block out rocks and debri from bending the compressor fins :P god what a dude banger

HONDAaSIf 04-26-2009 11:10 PM

jdm turbo? like the ebay ones?

Turbo10 04-26-2009 11:52 PM

the lythium grease is just for piece of mind. LOL
actually get some chicken wire from the cage of
your local chinese restaurant and cover the inlet.
It will work better than the grease. lol
