sorry to jack tus thread but anyone have a suggestion for the same 300$ price range for a good mig with gas capability. prety much somethin i can use on my car/piping/exhaust/manifolds

for now though i'm going to use the guys snap-on scratch start 200a dc tig; i hope it doesn't suck; there's no variable current just like 4 settings and you have to do the gas manually

I'm thinking of buying an arc welder from a flea market for like 50 bucks......i'm planning on using it to make a go-kart ....do you think that is sufficient? any tips on what to look for? thanks

I have Miller CST 280 and that ***** expensive! I use it for work, ( tax deductable) but it doesnt come with the torch, gas and other stuff.. and thats going to cost about 3-500 more dollars..
