Heims are strong enough to do the trick, not saying they're not. But like anything else they do require maintenence, and when they start to wear out they need to be replaced. I have seen a few instances where a quick off-road dirt trip at a solo event has broken a heim here and there, and that's what I wanted to avoid. As it turns out though, my newest turbo build actually lets me use the stock x-member, so I put it back on and have poly bushings in it for now and poly for the entire front end. I'll see how it does hopefully in a few weeks.
