shitbird, what grit is that disc on that chopsaw? I have a 24grit and it got some really shitty cut.

 

If I'm not mistaken, only the Maxstar 150 STH has high frequency starts. The STL model only has lift-arc.

Lift-arc shouldn't be really bad about contaminating your tungsten. When I began welding, there was no high frequency starting on most welding machines, unless you were using a more expensive one that would weld AC.

Oh....and $1800 for a PT185 is a ripoff... If you're buying a new welding machine these days, ebay or other places out of the state are often the best buy since they will often sell with no shipping cost, and you have no sales tax.
