thanks Carlo,
just opened up my bandsaw's gear box and all the teeth on the gear's gone, so i'll need to find a replacement gear or have one made, either way i'll need to get a new bandsaw, better check the oil in yours too.....btw are you using bi-metal blades?

its supposed to be bi-metal but the quality of blades we get here are just not good. had to cut it really slow and at an angle just to save on blades. how many tooth per inch are you using? do you cut with oil? BTW PM me your shop address If you have time id like to drop by some time and see your nice projects .

i also use those shitty blades, they only lasts for 3 to 4 days on tubing, i got 14 and 18 tpi, i was able to find bi-metals but they only have 14 tpi, that one i only use for collectors and their a bit expensive around 10k for a 100 ft. rolll.....but it cuts a lot faster than the steel blades....

to make the blades lasts longer i use a solution of water and MC, keeps the blade cool and lubricated....does your saw come with water cooling, mine i use an aquarium pump and a large plastic container for that, now thats HMT style hahaha.....

what ever works hahaha. my blades lasts up to 2 to 3 collectors at least. my bandsaw came with the pump already but it looks like an aquarium pump as well. BTW how do you cut your flanges?

You morons need to shop around before dropping $7 a foot on schedule 40 pipe. I buy this stuff in 100 pound quantities at 40 cents per pound at the scrap yard, and it's just as straight and clean as the stuff you buy new. Who cares about "waste of material" when the material is so freaking cheap? You people make it sound like he is welding this collector out of titanium or something.

Very nice collector. I love seeing nice fab work.
