Mostly 2x4's and screws, some 1x4, two front seats from a 90 dx hatch, and some time with my friend the chop saw. Will recline to past fully horizontal, and seats still slide back and forth, though that doesn't really have a purpose. Next addition is a removeable center piece that joins them together with a table and cup holders. And probably some arms with cupholders too, it feels like you need to have something to put your arms up on. They are actually passably comfortable, and everyone loves them. They were made in a time of desperation when my apartment lacked a couch or other furniture, and all this broke *** ***** had was a beat hatch with no title and plenty of lumber.

Pretty damn comfy. I think it helps to not having them so low to the floor like in the car b/c it puts you in an uncomfortable position. Does need arms w/cupholders to polish it off--- the "Stage 2" kit. Stage 3 is the leg prop that folds out.
