Re: Homemade A/C, requesting thinkers.
I can probably get you some RHD A/C parts if you want them? A friend breaks cars for some extra money once in a while. I'll ask him for a price on a complete RHD A/C system if you want?
You can just use compressed gas, but the volume of gas required would be ungodly. Could you not run an electric air con compressor? And get a bigass alternator to run it? |
Re: Homemade A/C, requesting thinkers.
I heard no moldings makes you cooler. And youre worrying about being hot?

Re: Homemade A/C, requesting thinkers.
i don`t think the protable A/c is safe enough to be fit inside a car, even if you take it apart.
u always have the chance of getting shock |
Re: Homemade A/C, requesting thinkers.
Cut a hole in your seat and put a bowl in there, fill it with ice and set your nuts on the ice, you'll be as cool as a cucumber. ---- A/C

Re: Homemade A/C, requesting thinkers.
Go to how stuffworks.com and look at how an a/c system works.
It will make this much easier for you. You should be able to find all the stock stuff on ebay that will be the easiest way or maybe some form of a modified stock system for engine bay room. |
Re: Homemade A/C, requesting thinkers.
i would like to get myself a stock a/c system too but then don`t i have to take the dash apart :X thats the only thing stopping me from doing it

Re: Homemade A/C, requesting thinkers.
Get a medium sized cooler. Remove the thermostatic expansion valve from the evaporater ("Intercooler"). Add two hose fittings in the bottom of the cooler and use some heater hose to attach these two fittings to the inlet and outlet on the evaporater. Use a windshield wiper fluid pump to circulate Ice cold water through the evaporater. I should charge money for that ----.
