Home made trailer FTMFW
Been using a 18" tandem to haul my car on, is nice but my car is the size of a lawn mower and with gas the way it is every little bit helps. I also wanted something a bit easier to move around when unloaded. So I ordered up an 3500# axle from ebay and some metal from local mill and some trailer parts from Rural King and got to work. Started out making it 13 feet long, but making it that long and keeping it light was not going to work.

Going to get one of those tongue mount tool boxes here soon to keep the not in use straps and the ever handy come-a-long. The wheels and tires on it now are going to go, needs some much smaller 8ply trailer tires. http://www.eville140.com/trailer/tr2.jpg Got about $425 in the whole thing, and about one weekend. Plus it it probably to small to fit anything bigger than a civic so it rules out a lot of mooches wanting to use it :) |

That thing is very purpose built. Looks like it will get the job done nicely though.
