Default HF action...nuff said.

Since I'm still haven't gotten the hang of my TIG I'm still rocking my HF fuckofffluxcore. This is the first time I've touched the Z since fall as my garage isn't exactly the warmest places even with all the windows and doors shut. So I don't really do anything with my cars during those 4 months of winter.
Anyways....I've got most of the big things needed to put together my kit together. Only thing is I'm using a stock 280ZX turbo manifold so it's flanged for a T3. Time to bust out my MacGyver skills and turn this ****** into a T4 and 60mm external wastegate. My ears are still ringing from all the grinding to get a opening for the wastegate. I don't have any porting bits so hell chopsaw and angle grinder and a air powered cutting wheel. I'll still have to opening up the section from the T3 to the T4 so I can get some mad flowage to spool this ------- Honk Kong fooey signature model T4 60-1. The pics will tell the rest of the story.
Goodies I've collected so far

Now it was a PITA to get the WG tubing to fit between the T4 exhaust housing and the block...thank god for the T4 flange cause if it was any thinner it wouldn't of fit between and I would of had to mount it off of the very last runner which of probably gave me some nasty boost creepy so I wanted it mounted as close to the turbo as possible...thus I had it come directly behind the T4 flange

---- that ---- about preheating cast and all that other hogwash...
I pounded on this ******..mounted the turbo on and sat on it mounted the ---- was solid. I've never had any problems before welding on cast with how I've done it.

NUMBER 2 BITCH...Jon knows what I'm talking bout

The damn manifold took me the whole afternoon so next weekend or if I'm really bored during the week I'll mount the IC but this is how she's gonna sit...------- bar plate IC's are hernia material

Saftey first....Bootsy Collin's signature model saftey glasses cause I ain't getting no metal shaving in my eye again cause I'm still tramatized from the visit to the eye doctor and taking his lil' drill to my eyeball

It's a bird....no it's a plane...---- NO it's Ghettofiedinjenfabman!!!

End of this week I should get my 2.5" 180-45 mandrel bend and couplers and clamps to do my charge piping. I still have to pull the head and install my new headgasket and ARP headstuds so this beast won't be back on the road till the middle of April hopefully.

Sheeeeeeeeet...I wouldn't touch a triple carb setup with a ten foot pole. I can barely keep my carb'd snowblower running right. :P

Yeah yeah...last thing I boosted was my 4dr civic but that was a hodge podge of parts and a disaster as the turbo was so huge it would only spool in fifth on the highway sometimes. lol. Now this should be .....lag....lag...pull the ---- out your *** type boost I'm guessing with it being a straight T4 and no t3/t4 hybrid. Jon....ahhh spark management you say? Why of course...can you say spark plugs! These don't really need a whole lot of technical mumbo jumbo. One step colder plugs and that's aboot it.
