Gonna Make A Sinktrap mani need info
for those that have made on before.
what size tubing, and what radius bend did you use?
this will be my first attempt at a collector too, should be a joy.
any pointers welcome.

take a look @ my build - I did the same thing: https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...?topic=69505.0
I used 2" diameter, schedule 40; 90 degree weld elbows. Pretty straight forward. I used the stock header - which was a really BAD idea because it hurt the flow due to a traffic-jam like collector. but it worked and I ended up boosting 10 psi on the ching-chong turbo which never ever gave me problems.
Good luck with the project.

i always said if i made a sinktrap/elelphant extention for a turbo set up i would
you use sch 40 also, i was searching this a long time ago and i think alot of people just use
regular exhaust pipe for theres, i would go sch 40 but iirc people got away with plain exhaust pipe,
im not sure how long they lasted or ran them but i thought i would throw it out there for u.

I made one from two headers. I even braced the bottom half of it and it worked great.
The collector is not even that bad.
If your gonna start using sch40 pipes, might aswell just build an entirely new manifold.

I just used a summit 2" exhaust j pipe. I took it and cut about 2" of the j out to make it a little tighter radius. Worked great. Even with a big heavy To4 40 trim on a d16
I used 1 7/8 Hooker pipes, cheapest I found. Cut the 4-2 portion of the header so that the two merges were level, welded on the 2 U pipes, I even used the 2-1 portion of the header to merge into the turbo flange.
Then blast with the MIG welder, and done!

You can use tubing or pipe. It doesn't really matter.
My first elephant manifold was made from 2" tubing and is still running around today.
Sch 40 is overkill for any manifold. Too heavy and most people don't have the pipe welding ability to make use of it's full strength and actually make it weaker than just using sch 10 or tubing.
