Chris decided that the turbo h22 needed a little more airflow, so I fired up the welder and bandsaw and went to work :6
I cut out the aluminum plate for the front of the "intake" using the bandsaw: Attachment 15635 Here it is after the first cut & a little bending to fit the curve of the bumper (clamped it to my welding table and pushed down, I must be gaining weight): Attachment 15636 a little mockup after cutting the Ching Chong pipe, only ballers use masking tape when fabbing ----: Attachment 15637 Attachment 15638 I am well aware of the fact that it looks like a shoe, I would've made the thing more tapered but there is an intercooler pipe right behind it that limits what I can do there. after some shitty welding: Attachment 15639 Attachment 15640 Then I went to town on the "porting", and gave myself a ton of metal splinters: Attachment 15641 Some shitty pics of it sitting in place (it will be painted black and screwed to the bumper): Attachment 15642 Attachment 15643 The car is on the lift so it was hard to get a good shot of it in place. Tomorrow I will make the piping up to the turbo, it was getting late by the time I got this far (we spend most of the day shipping people the wrong turbo on purpose, which leaves little time for fabbing). |

People spend $500 on a part that might gain them 2-3 horsepower...we are hoping this gives us at least 4 :y

i always wear blue gloves when ever i hold a die grinder now. looks like it will out work very well. |

looks like it will grab lots of air, nice fab work. I too say paint it black, for that stealth look.

Just wate untill a butterfly goes infront of that ---- when its in boots. That is just gona be a funnel for the food processor....lol Looks tits Ive thought about doing something like this for years on my crx. But I was gona make mine out of fiberglass.

wicked job. i cut a hole in my bumper and put a velocity stack.. then the stack got stolen and now i have a vagina hole in my front bumper =( will probably make one of those myself later on!
