I know a guy who has used "blue" RTV on Skylines and other imports a few times, and says it works good. :8

Re: Gaskets help
copper rtv works fine usually, but its a good idea to use a gasket as well.

Re: Gaskets help
Flush both flanges on a belt sander or mill, a little copper RTV Goop and you'll be fine.

Re: Gaskets help
What about gaskets for a Hot side? Like what if there are no gaskets out there in existance? Thought there was some goop in a tube that could be used....just can't remember what it's called or where to get it.

homemade copper gaskets. Buy a 1' piece of round copper pipe ( i couldnt find copper sheets thick enough) and cut it in half down the center. Unfold and pound flat. then trace the flange onto the "sheet" with a sharpie and cut it out with a combination of hole saw, tin snips, and a grinder. I make all of my exhaust gaskets like this. |
Re: Gaskets help
