I know a guy who has used "blue" RTV on Skylines and other imports a few times, and says it works good. :8

copper rtv works fine usually, but its a good idea to use a gasket as well.

Flush both flanges on a belt sander or mill, a little copper RTV Goop and you'll be fine.

What about gaskets for a Hot side? Like what if there are no gaskets out there in existance? Thought there was some goop in a tube that could be used....just can't remember what it's called or where to get it.

homemade copper gaskets. Buy a 1' piece of round copper pipe ( i couldnt find copper sheets thick enough) and cut it in half down the center. Unfold and pound flat. then trace the flange onto the "sheet" with a sharpie and cut it out with a combination of hole saw, tin snips, and a grinder. I make all of my exhaust gaskets like this.

the sheets they sell at autoparts stores only hold up to 300* (thats there high temp). I put it on and tried it and it stunk so bad that i thought i was goin to have to pop my hood and aflame come out.

Re: Gaskets help

on my setup i used autozone item # 2499 or i think its 85505.....cut it to size(which is not easy) but i guess if you have more then some wire cutters it will be .....put it in between my mani and turbo holds nicely no leaks....its like 15$ for a big ass sheet you'll probably use about 10% of it.

^^^ no kidding

with the way copper is going it would be cheaper to make all the gaskets out of platinum. ugh
