investing in an oil cooler would be easier/cheaper.

Fins on the pan is an old-school hot rod v8 trick. It'll help a little bit if you have road clearance like those old cars used to have, but if you've lowered the car quite a bit and have any kind of bumper lip extending down it pretty much negates the purpose. A remote mount oil cooler is a much better idea anyway.

But then the price for the remote mount, block adapter, hoses, radiator gets pretty pricey. I say try it out...what do you have to lose?

Very nice foir $100? Nope

To do it properly and efficiently Im sure you $250+ if you use the right compression fitting and braided line and not a 1/2 *** oil cooler

I dunno how much affect fins on the pan would do, You mean like 1/2" fins or somethin going from front to back? Technically I guess it works, but I dont know ho much, and my oil pan aint but 2.5" off the ground anyways....

You will most effective heat disipation with aluminium. but the time you will have invested in cleaning fabing and welding is far to time consuming and less effective than a external oil cooler

get fittings from Aces stainless or WOFSCO
