Figured I'd post up this new goofy manifold I made.

I'd love to see a dyno test of that manifold vs topmount vs ramhorn... I'd vote for that one... the collector is a little short, but thats the nature of the beast I guess... by all my calculations, around 12" of runner length is where most honda manifolds should be, w/ longest possible collector.. we cant get long enough collectors with most designs though.

12" Um no... Runner length is calculated including displacement ... a 1.5 L runners shouldnt have the same amount of volume as a 2.2 Liter optimumly. As for the collector: Yes I agree the longer (read the more gradual an angle) the better... but remember that in cases like that that the collector itself has length that needs to be factored in.
A blanket staement such as "12" runners is teh BomBz3rZfor maH Hond4" is not accurate. AT ALL. Ideally the runners should = the displacemnt of each cylinder (= Length), or do I have something fucked up Nope reversion is reversion.

I was making a blanket statement, that 12" number is for 1.8 ..... most hondas are 1.6 to 1.8, the difference in runner length is minimal....
I dont have my math in front of me, its all at home... so I couldnt tell you the exact difference between a 1.6, 1.8, 2.0, or 2.2 liter honda... but I know for a fact those tool *** topmounts are WAY too long.

Not sll are, as i mentioned (obviously) runner length is only one aspect of an acurate calculation. ID of the tubing, and volume lost by bends contribute too. Anyways, most topmounts I agree arent made with all of this in mind. Nor are MOST manifolds... But it MAKES a difference. My TM makes ------- crazy power, then again, we planned my ---- out thoroughly (for LONGER runners than called for - partly due to the shorter collecter, and the amount of air being routed through it.
) Worked out great.
Cant argue with the numbers.
