Default Fab Forum Request

I'm a welding/fabbing noob and I'd like to see someone do a writeup on making a simple log mani and I'm sure a lot of other people would too. Basically the part I'm most curious about is in what order the different parts get welded. i.e. do you weld the T's to the flange first, then weld the T's together, or what. Also, what's the best way to keep the flange from warping while welding, info like that.

I think the SDS website had something like that. Search for SDS engine management or something like that and you will find it.

sds does have a write up not of a log but a manfold. might even be a top mount i dont remember. i will look for the link and for the warping bolt it on to an old head or thick piece of metal

edit: here it is http://www.sdsefi.com/techheader.htm top mount but the same apllies weld the t's and el's to gether then to the flange. i will hopefully be making a log soon, just dont know if arc will be fine of i should try and rent another machine to do the manifold
