I cut mine for my D-series.
I also cut my headers for my 350. The 350 is especially nice b/c you don't have to cut any bolt holes, so the 3 sets of ports all seal by themselves relatively independently. |

surfacing will be fine, since its already welded up just do that and don't bother with cutting.

It was surfaced before and I pulled it to have a crack welded up and noticed a leak on the gasket. So it looks as if it warped while on the head. :-\ I want to cut it and I think it WILL seal better too Snafu. JP |

it says to cut them in maximum boost. but like josh said, you cant cut it after its welded
