The Daddy Long Legs Manifold All Tacked up

This is a custom manifold weve been working on for the crx. Its a really tight working space as all of you know. This bad boy lets you fit a pretty nice sized snail, with good oil drain and nice hood clearance.

A few pics of her tacked up, ill post some more this week when we finish her up.

Just wondering where the wastegate flange will go on that, or if it's just not in view?

looks good but...

How is this different than a standard "ramhorn" mani? Seems like the same thing but with longer runners. Post up some more pics off the car.

Chill out Jago, just wanna see clearance improvement or something. That way you can save a few dollars on the extra pipe. Less material = more beer :).

wow, very nice work - the first time I've ever seen anything like that. You should mass produce them - I know lots of people are looking for Ram Horn type manifolds that are ac compatible. Awesome work again.

I was only kidding about it being p/s, and a/c compatible... thus the t4/t5 turbo comment.

Not the most efficent desgin.
I'm pretty sure you could make the two longer runners much shorter and still fit it in there.

Creative tho.

Indeed, went the fast and easy route. We have the capability to do whatever, but unfortunately time is $, and many times $ is the enemy during a turbo build.

I can understand the idea of trying to make a new style manifold nice and unique to the market, but just simply making the ram horn design look stupid is kind of ridiculous don't you think? I mean, why extend runners 1 and 4? that isnt going to help anything for function or fashion.

Its not that a typical ramhorn cant be made to work in an ef, but ask james at bmc race how long it takes to make 1. This design is a lot less time consuming and therefore wouldnt cost nearly as much. You are right about function and fashion though

Me and my buddy both have CRX's and he had 3 ramhorns built for his CRX because they didnt fit right... finnaly the shop said it will be a custom job and wonted more money so he told them no and got a diffrent manifold...
